“The Burden of  Our Days "

is a series of paintings that delve into the transition from the innocence of childhood to the sobering realities of adulthood. Using vivid, childlike colors, these works capture the innocence and wonder of a child’s perspective, set against the harsh and often disillusioning truths of adult life. This juxtaposition highlights the paradox of maintaining a hopeful outlook in the face of growing societal expectations and the inevitable compromises of adulthood. Through this series, I aim to portray the tension between our inherent, joyful nature and the external forces that seek to mold us. “The Burden of Days” serves as a visual commentary on how societal norms and pressures gradually strip away our innate sense of wonder and individuality, leaving behind a more constrained and subdued version of ourselves. By presenting these themes through a lens of vibrant, childlike colors, I invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences of growing up and the ways in which society has influenced their paths. This series is a call to acknowledge and resist the forces that seek to diminish our true selves, reminding us of the importance of retaining our inner vibrancy amidst the complexities of adult life.
